I found out about this game when Elisa Hansen (of Vampire Reviews fame) started doing a playthrough of it with her husband, and I'm so glad I bought it! I played through all the routes in one day (because I lack self control), and it was fantastic. Lord Stanton's plot was my favourite by far, and I'm fairly sure I'll be playing his route at least one more time. I enjoyed his relationship with the main character the best - they both end up rescuing one another throughout the story, which is refreshing, and he was the best written love interest, in my opinion. Thank you so much for this game, looking forward to your other projects!

LOL It would have been fun to have the option to take the Amesbury path and realize that Montfort was actually the path you wanted to be on. ;-) I just love Stanton and have done that route several times. If you are into Jane Austen or anything to do with Regency setting romance, then this is the game for you. Very well written, pleasant music/art, and compelling characters. I truly hope to see more from the developers!
Just wanted to chime in and say I really enjoyed The Lady's Choice. It took me back to watching Jane Austen movies growing up, so you nailed the regency era feeling right on the head.
And I agree with AmaraDenee, Montfort was delicious. First time he popped up I was sitting back snapping my fingers, wondering if I could possibly switch from Amesbury to him lol. Anway, this game was lovely and I wish you luck in your other endeavors. (^.^)
While I adore pretty much EVERYBODY in the game, I have to say I was dying for a route with Montfort. Maybe I just have an addiction to otome games, but his smoldering gaze haunts my soul and I wish I could've pursued him as an interest. It's an amazing game and I hope to find more like it!
Captain Blake is my man!!! I didn't like Amesbury at all. Not that he wasn't very well written, because he was, but because I didn't like him as a person. When I played through his story line then went back and left him I laughed when it said bad end. SO not ending up with a criminal and my best friend not getting shot is bad? Don't get me wrong. I gave this game a five star rating. I'm just expressing frustration. Which is a compliment, because I couldn't be frustrated if I didn't care so much. Lol :)

All the routes went through a lot of work- some of them weren't even close to how they turned out when I first came up with the ideas :D A lot of back and forth, idea taking, and talking it out with family and friends.
I think Blake was the only one who I was certain of all the way from the start. Amesbury's route actually changed just before writing him.
amsbury is actually my favorite of all the characters you did a good job with your team in making him into a phantom of the opera type character. XD not kidding though love the characters great job
I found this VN last autumn, and I loved it. The characters and story feels real, which can't be said for many popular books, movies, and TV-shows. And, as a big fan of victorian literature (Jane Austen etc.) the 'world' just feels right.
I was so happy when I found that another character had been added to this, as I'd picked out Amesbury as my intended lover after the ball scene, before discovering he wasn't an option. It didn't disappoint. I think I can safely say this is my favourite visual novel. Can I hope for more characters added to this in the future, or is this the end?
Montfort was certainly quite popular in the end :D Unfortunately, I won't be adding a route for Montfort; I really don't think a route with this MC would work after the Amesbury stuff.

I just completed the Amebury route and...OH MY! I played it as a sweet, understanding and coy Lady Elisabeth Reginald. It was lovely! I had such a fun time taunting Laurence and the releationship blossomed so beautifully! I cannot wait to try out the other routes. I've no clue who to court next! This coming Season shall be wonderful! Fantastic job. I will definitely be donating to your cause come pay day!
Wow! I have just finished Guy's (or Captain Blake's) route. I must say I am quite excited to try the others if they are half as good as that one. As a frequenter of otomes I often find myself feeling delight as my choices get me closer to my chosen man. What I did not expect was the thrill the game caused me. I found my heart beating just as fast for the Captain as I am sure the MC's was. You have made a game of truley captivating characters. I was on the edge of my seat as I played all the way to the end unable to walk away from such an exciting story of twists and turns. I look forward to looking out for what you might come out with next.
I loved this game so much. The writing was great, I was kept on the edge my toes all the time, and the romance between Blake and the MC had me swooning. I've yet to play through with Amesbury or Stanton though, but from what I've heard, they're pretty good, so I look forward to that! :D

Hi :) Unfortunately, I don't have any plans to release it for iOS. Mainly because if I did, I would have to charge for it (because to put it up on the store costs quite a lot!), and I think that would be unfair to have it for pay-what-you-want/free on PC, and then charge on phone.
The CG Gallery was something I wanted to add in, but just didn't get the time :/ It's something I will definitely be shooting for in my future projects though!

I managed to get the 'True Love' Ending in all three playthroughs which was a surprise to me. Lord Stanton was my absolute favourite. The MC being very much her own woman and going against all society's conventions, especially when confronting not one, but several dangerous individuals in the name of justice
I was a bit cold for Mr. Amesbury and Blake was a bit boring to me, but that is probably because you had written such a great story for Lord Stanton.
I'm very much looking forward to future titles! I also particularly loved the soundtrack, especially the solo piano at the very last CG. (Best for Stanton)

PS: I think Stanton's CG scenes were the best. Blake's looked a little deformed at times. Amesbury had the second best CG scenes.

I don't think he would suit the MC in this game, especially after he's so linked in with Amesbury's route. It would mean a whole new setting and cast of characters just for him (which I'm sure he would feel most entitled to anyway!).
I am currently working on another big project, so don't have the time to dedicate to a route for him :/

I too created an account on here just so I could leave you a comment telling you that I absolutely LOVE this game so far!! :3 I played Guy's route first (with the true love ending)...it is so well written and the tone of the dialogue fits the theme so well that I was totally immersed in the story and felt so in tune with the MC! I must admit that this had me swooning right along with her (Guy is pretty dreamy imo), as well as feeling the need to speak out against the class system that the Huntington's loved to enforce....I love that there were dialogue options that allowed the MC to be a strong and interesting woman. The art in the game is lovely too. All in all, this game is everything I was hoping it would be <3 can't wait to play the other routes! Thank you for this great game!

i really enjoyed amesbury's route! it was a lot different than i was expecting in terms of storyline, but that made it even better. also, mr.montfort was a nice addition - very handsome, hahaa. i hope i'm not being pushy/nosy, but will he have his own route as well, or is he purely connected to amesbury's story?

Mr Montfort won't be getting his own route, unfortunately. I think it would be too difficult to write him a route as he is so connected to Amesbury's route. The only way to give him a route would be to have a completely different MC, but I'm currently starting a new project so won't be able to do that :/

Unfortunately, I had planned for a CG gallery but it had to be cut due to time constraints. It's definitely something I am hoping to put in future visual novels I make though.
I must admit I was first taken aback by the historical inaccuracy, (I didn't read the notes ahead of time, so I wasn't forewarned) but about 5 min into the game, I no longer cared! I fully enjoyed this game and hope that there will be a Montfort route added on in the near future!!! My favorite route was that of Blake, but I feel that Montfort could rival him in my affections! Hehehe! More Please!
Yeah, historical accuracy was not high on my priority list when making the game :D I was more focused on just writing something fun and romantic. I'm so glad you managed to look past the inaccuracy though and enjoyed it!

I really enjoyed this game! I'd played the first two characters when this came out, and just played the update with Amesbury. He was my favorite of the 3, and a really fun character.
I also think Montfort was a pretty great character (and had the cutest sprite!). I don't suppose you'd be interested in doing a Montfort route too??? It would be a shame not to get more use of his sprites, right?

I too created an account on here just so I could leave you a comment telling you that I absolutely LOVE this game so far!! :3 I played Guy's route first (with the true love ending)...it is so well written and the tone of the dialogue fits the theme so well that I was totally immersed in the story and felt so in tune with the MC! I must admit that this had me swooning right along with her (Guy is pretty dreamy imo), as well as feeling the need to speak out against the class system that the Huntington's loved to enforce....I love that there were dialogue options that allowed the MC to be a strong and interesting woman. The art in the game is lovely too. All in all, this game is everything I was hoping it would be <3 can't wait to play the other routes! Thank you for this great game!

I.NEED.MORE!!!! I would definitely like to see a route for Mr. Montfort as well. He's tall, dark, handsome, and dangerous. The ultimate package, hah. But no, I really enjoyed this and would love to get lost in a new route. I'll be watching patiently~ ^_^

i really enjoyed amesbury's route! it was a lot different than i was expecting in terms of storyline, but that made it even better. also, mr.montfort was a nice addition - very handsome, hahaa. i hope i'm not being pushy/nosy, but will he have his own route as well, or is he purely connected to amesbury's story?
You're not pushy or nosy at all! It's great to know people want more from The Lady's Choice :D That's the biggest compliment I can get!
Mr Montfort won't be getting his own route, unfortunately. I think it would be too difficult to write him a route as he is so connected to Amesbury's route. The only way to give him a route would be to have a completely different MC, but I'm currently starting a new project so won't be able to do that :/

Jesus this is such a good game, Stanton is my precious little hunny bun. ;3; Amesbury is also precious. They are all precious help. I really love this game, I only wish there was a menu to where I could go back into the cg's and see the ones I got already cause they are so nice.

Unfortunately, I had planned for a CG gallery but it had to be cut due to time constraints. It's definitely something I am hoping to put in future visual novels I make though.
I must admit I was first taken aback by the historical inaccuracy, (I didn't read the notes ahead of time, so I wasn't forewarned) but about 5 min into the game, I no longer cared! I fully enjoyed this game and hope that there will be a Montfort route added on in the near future!!! My favorite route was that of Blake, but I feel that Montfort could rival him in my affections! Hehehe! More Please!
Yeah, historical accuracy was not high on my priority list when making the game :D I was more focused on just writing something fun and romantic. I'm so glad you managed to look past the inaccuracy though and enjoyed it!

I really enjoyed this game! I'd played the first two characters when this came out, and just played the update with Amesbury. He was my favorite of the 3, and a really fun character.
I also think Montfort was a pretty great character (and had the cutest sprite!). I don't suppose you'd be interested in doing a Montfort route too??? It would be a shame not to get more use of his sprites, right?
I'm so glad he was your favourite, I was worried he wouldn't live up to expectations, especially because he's so very different to the other love interests.
Mr Montfort is certainly getting more love than I thought he would :D Though, it's a real boost to my confidence to know that people still want more of The Lady's Choice after it's finished!
